Sugared orange peels

Substances

– Wholesome peels of 4 or 5 oranges
– Obligatory quantity of water

For the syrup

– Two cups of sugar
– A cup of water

Elaboration

– Use wholesome oranges and wash them with a brush.
– Peel within the route of the segments, discarding the white half.
– Reduce the peels into skinny segments (they appear like strips of orange peel).
– Boil the peels in loads of water for about 5 minutes, take away, pressure the water and funky.
– Repeat this operation two or thrice till you test that they’re tender, not falling aside.
– Make a syrup till it thickens.
– Place the shells and boil till they type a ball (if you pour a little bit of the syrup into chilly water it stays collectively like a ball).
– Take away and drain on a steel rack.
