That is truly a French recipe – they’re referred to as Gougères-, however they’re really easy to make and so scrumptious that we’re going to borrow it.

Elements

  • 250 milliliters (1 / 4 of a liter) of milk.
  • 100 grams of butter.
  • 5 grams of salt.
  • 150 grams of flour.
  • 4 eggs.
  • 50 grams of Gruyere cheese (you may also use any grated cheese you’ve got readily available).

Preparation

  1. Boil the milk with the butter and salt in a pot
  2. Add the flour and stir the combination for about 5 minutes over low warmth, till it separates from the underside.
  3. Let the combination cool and add the eggs one after the other, whereas mixing with a wood spoon.
  4. Lower the cheese into small cubes and add them to the dough.
  5. Make balls (you should use a spoon) and place them in a beforehand greased roasting pan.
  6. Paint the balls with egg yolk, sprinkle them with grated cheese and place them within the preheated oven at medium temperature for about 20 to 25 minutes.
